In one of the worst kept secrets of the transfer window so far, Liverpool will sign midfielder Marko Grujic from Red Star Belgrade this January.
For a number of weeks now, Liverpool have been heavily linked with the 19-year-old midfielder, who has predictably already been compared to Steven Gerrard.
Grujic’s move to Liverpool has hit the headlines with his father reportedly opposing the deal and late last week reports suggested that the 19-year-old had been granted a Serbian visa.
Late on Saturday evening, Grujic once again confirmed his move to Liverpool on Facebook, and he’s supposed to have his medical today.
A picture has been going around on social media on Grujic reportedly on his way to Melwood.

One of the big talking points around Grujic’s move centres on whether the teenager will return to Red Star on loan or not.
It was widely believed that Grujic would head back to Serbia on a 6-month loan deal, however that’s now up in the air.
Serbian website Mozzart Sport is being sourced for claiming that Grujic will in fact stay at Anfield. They cite alternative news outlets Blic and Alo for reporting that a late change in the deal which means the teenager will stay on Merseyside after all.
Mozzart Sport seem to have twisted the truth, however.
If you bother to go to Blic – one of Serbia’s most popular papers – you can find a short update on their transfer page in which they quote the Star (!) as a source for the Grujic to stay at Liverpool story.
As for Alo, they do however back up the central claim.
According to their article, the teenager will stay with the Reds because it’s now thought a move back to Serbia could lead to an injury as the pitches in the country are poor.
