The past calendar year has seen plenty of highs and lows in high level professional football.
In England it started with Spurs scoring five past Chelsea and ended with The Blues sacking iconic manager Jose Mourinho.
As a result, there are plenty of memes and photoshops in the list below which take amusement from Chelsea’s plight.
Wayne Rooney has also come in for plenty of online criticism despite breaking the England scoring record in 2015.
Quite simply the England and Manchester United captain has struggled so badly for form that he is now a figure of fun.
The best team this year has been Barcelona, as a result, the exploits of Leo Messi and the MSN have also been celebrated in the past calendar year.
